    CYBERSTOCK 19 AT LOYOLA MARYMOUNT
The yearly festival of outdoor electronic music under the stars took place on Saturday August 9, 2008 at LMU - thanks to all who attended!  This was our first at Loyola Marymount University, with a venue that on the bluffs featuring gorgeous views northward of the Los Angeles basin and Pacific Ocean.  Starting at 7pm, Niture (Eddie Loyola) played his glitch style, followed by Surface 10 (Dean DeBenedicitis) and Vic Hennegan.

Everyone at LMU was extremely helpful with C19's organizers, all this despite a slanderous web article by The Malibu Times that generated a firestorm of controversy the week before.  The author, Olivia Damavandi, is a bold faced liar who tried to blame Cyberstock and its fans for last year's tragic Malibu fires - which occured in November!  But she didn't stop there, accusing Cyberstock and its patrons of damaging state park property in areas the shows have never taken place, using a photo the of a graffiti-covered cave in a foul attempt at yellow journalism.  Any minimal research on her part would have revealed her ridiculous assumptions to be totally false, but this demented low life's goal was to make news instead of reporting it.  Damavandi sealed her hit piece by going on to accuse Cyberstock's organizers and LMU of refusing to anwser her phone calls and e-mails about her story.  No one was ever contacted by her or anyone else at the Malibu Times.

The Malibu Times refused to issue a retraction of these outrageous lies in Damavandi's smear article.  When asked to provide a copy of any e-mails they allegedly sent, the editor, Laura Tate, blew up in an emotional rage to cover herself, screaming at one of our callers.  This reveals the foul state of the press today, which is dominated by agenda-driven pathological liars who try to cover their intellectual dishonesty with threats and emotional outbursts.  Many are lithium-deprived egotistical nut jobs who gain pleasure by destroying others using false information or just making things up out of thin air.

If you wish to register your displeasure with the willful misrepresentations by Damavandi and The Malibu Times about Cyberstock and yourself as a fan, send them e-mails and give these snakes a piece of your mind.
